Working with our Capital Design and emerging tech team you will be responsible for solving challenges across our capital design and delivery teams using the latest digital technology and innovation.

Working with our Customer Solutions teams, you will interact with stakeholders, and other regional team members. As a part of your role, you will be working independently and as a team towards effective scheduling management.  

Working in our Facilities team, you’ll be key to helping us keep our operational sites and depots, safe, clean and operating effectively for all our colleagues.

Our Mechanical Maintenance Technicians are exceptional problem solvers.

They ensure our critical equipment and assets (like pumps, motors, gearboxes valves, actuators and other mechanical components remain in good working condition and quickly overhaul and repair them when needed to keep our treatment processes working effectively, allowing us to provide essential services to our customers around the clock.

Do you have a basic understanding of the principles of mechanics or enjoy maths, physics and design technology? If you enjoy working with your hands, fixing things around the house, or have a passion for DIY projects, then this programme might be perfect for you!

Working alongside our waste operational teams, you’ll will take, monitor, record and interpret wastewater samples to ensure treatment processes are working effectively. 

Based in either our Mansfield or Finham workshop as an Apprentice Pump Service Technician, you’ll be supported every step of the way and will be exposed to a wide range of opportunities working on assets from around the STW business. You’ll get an insight into various treatment processes dealing with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.

As an Apprentice Tanker Driver, you’ll be exposed to a wide range of opportunities through earning all of the key skills required to become a Severn Trent Tanker Driver as you train over to achieve your LGV (Large Goods Vehicle) driving licence at category C. 

Working alongside our technical operations team, you’ll work with clean water and apply treatment processes to make it wholesome for the customers we serve every day. 

You'll be supporting colleagues to help create a fair and equitable working environment where everyone can succeed. Your role will be to gain practical experience in the Bip Resources team and in particular Trade Effluent.

As an apprentice Waste Network Technician, you’ll be exposed to a wide range of opportunities through getting hands on with our teams.

As an Apprentice Workshop Coordinator, you’ll be exposed to a wide range of opportunities through also manage customer accounts with external suppliers to ensure excellent delivery, specification, and service.

Water Network Technicians work outside across our region to find leaks on our huge network of underground pipes and get these repaired. You will be supported every step of the way, by your line manager and mentor. 

As an Apprentice Process Scientist, you’ll be exposed to a wide range of opportunities across Severn Trent and Hafren Dyfrdwy. You will work alongside other Process Scientists to review the performance of our Water Treatment Works, participate in water quality improvement activities and support the delivery of operational efficiencies.

Working in one of our design teams, your day to day will involve working on the design of our projects to install new or refurbish existing assets.

Working alongside our process engineering team, you’ll use engineering principles to implement and develop new processes or plant and to support product development; and work autonomously and as part of a wider scientific & engineering team.

Working with our Project Management team, you will be involved in assisting and running the delivery of multi-million-pound programmes of work, across rivers and wastewater treatment works.
